Join us for an exciting trip to our nation's capitol city in May 2025. This will be a mix of meetings with each member of the Utah delegation, key agencies as well as uniquely cultivated tours or other activities together with our allied Utah business associations of Utah Petroleum, Utah Mining, Utah Manufacturers, Utah food Industry and Utah Rural Electric Cooperative. This event is open to Chairman Circle, Platinum & Gold Level members.

Sunday, May 4

• Fly into airport of your choice in the Washington, D.C. area
• Check into the Residence Inn 1233 First Street SE, Washington DC, 20003

Monday, May 5 *Bus

Casual Attire - wear good walking shoes 

08:00 am - Depart for Fort Belvoir, National Museum of the United States Army with Congresswoman Celest Maloy 

09:00 am – Arrive at Fort Belvoir

09:15 am – Begin Tour (Promptly – Tour Starts at 1:15pm)

10:45 am – End Tour & Visit Gift Shop/Bathroom

11:15 am – Lunch

12:15 pm – Depart for George Mason’s Gunston Hall

12:45 pm – Arrive George Mason’s Gunston Hall

01:00 pm – Begin Tour (Promptly – Starts at 1:00pm)

03:00 pm – End Tour, bathroom and gift shop

03:30 pm – Depart for Hotel

04:10 pm – Arrive at Hotel (change clothes, check emails, etc.)

Change Into Business Attire (wear comfortable shoes for Capitol Tour)

05:30 pm – Depart for Capitol Hill Club *Walking or Rideshare, 8-minute ride or 17-minute walk. 0.7 miles

05:50 pm – Arrive at Capitol Hill Club (suit jacket)

06:00 pm – Dinner (Hold for speaker) 

08:00 pm – Depart Capitol Hill Club

08:10 pm – Arrive at US Capitol and begin tour with Congressman Blake Moore

09:30 pm – Finish tour

09:30 pm – Depart for Hotel *Walking or Rideshare

Tuesday, May 6 *Walking/Rideshare

Business Attire (suit jacket preferred)

08:00 am – Depart for the Library of Congress *Rideshare 8 minutes, or walking–roughly a 20 min walk 0.9 miles
08:30 am – Library of Congress, rare books tour with Senator John Curtis
10:00 am – Finish Tour

10:10 am – Depart for US Capitol

10:30 am – Arrive at Capitol (room number) Meeting with Congressman Burgess Owens

11:15 am – Break (bathroom, gift shop)

11:45 am – Depart for Senate Russell Building
12:00 pm – Café Rio Lunch with Senator Mike Lee – Kennedy Caucus Room  

01:00pm – Legislative Directors

02:00 pm – Agency Meetings, Associations attend their own meetings (Department of Labor, Heritage Action, FTC Commissioner, etc.)

05:00 pm – Depart for Hotel

Casual Attire 

05:00 pm – 6:30 pm Free Time

06:45 pm – Washington Nationals Baseball game (With food voucher)

09:15 pm – (roughly) Game Ends – Walk back to Homewood Suites 5-minute walk 

Wednesday, May 7

09:00 am – Depart from Hotel, Washington DC Capitol-Navy Yard

09:50 am – Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, (14390 Air and Space Museum Pkwy Chantilly, VA 20151)

10:00 am – Arrive and Tour Museum (2 hours: Self-Guided) – Free Admission**

12:00 pm – Finish Tour, visit gift shop, use bathroom, etc.

12:20 pm – Depart for Hill Country/Carmines (35 Minutes via Bus)

12:55 pm – Arrive at Hill Country BBQ (or Carmines depending on Kennedy schedule)

01:00 pm – Lunch with Congressman Mike Kennedy

02:30 pm – Finish Lunch

02:40 pm – Depart for National Archives *Walking 6 minutes – 0.3 miles

02:50 pm – Arrive at National Archives

03:00 pm – Tour National Archives

04:30 pm – Finish Tour

04:40 pm – Depart for Hotel (Bus)

04:50 pm – Arrive at Hotel - Change Clothes, bathroom, emails
